It combines two distinct electrical components into one integrated system to provide stable DC power from a standard AC grid.

Key Components

Transformer: Changes the level of incoming AC voltage, either stepping it up or down.

Rectifier: Converts the adjusted AC power into DC power.

Filter System: Minimizes ripples to provide clean, stable DC.

Controller: Regulates the output voltage or current as needed.

How it Works

Voltage Conversion: High-voltage AC from the grid enters the transformer's primary coil. The transformer steps this voltage down or up to the specific level required for the application.

Rectification: The adjusted AC power then moves to the rectifier circuit, typically using solid-state diodes or thyristors. These components act as one-way valves, allowing current to flow in only one direction, which converts the AC into pulsating DC.

Filtering: The pulsating DC passes through capacitors and inductors. This process smooths out the electrical peaks and troughs, resulting in a stable, continuous DC output.
