How It Works
Voltage Transformation: High-voltage AC power from the grid enters the primary winding of the transformer. The transformer steps this voltage down (or up) to the specific level required by the application.
Rectification: The adjusted AC power flows into the rectifier circuit, which typically uses solid-state diodes or thyristors. These components act as one-way valves, allowing current to flow in only one direction, effectively converting AC into pulsating DC.
Filtering: The pulsating DC passes through capacitors and inductors.
